Dear Ouachitonians,

I would like to thank each of you for electing me to such an important position and for trusting the Student Senate and me to be your voice.  I want this year to bring about a new level for student involvement to Ouachita.  Most of all I want each of your concern to be heard and then carried out to achieve your desires for Ouachita.   

            I hope that each of you will utilize Student Senate by coming by our office in Evans’ Student Center, speaking directly to a Senator, or by coming to a Senate meeting at 6pm on Tuesdays.  It is crucial to the Student Senate for you to voice your opinions; without you we are unable to adequately represent the student body.  I feel that my position is to be a service to each of you and I look forward to investing my time and energy into serving each of you. 

            In closing I would like to say thank you again for allowing me to be your president.  This is going to be a great year with many positive changes. I hope that when you leave this place you look back at your year's here and think that you obtained everything you desired out of your time at Ouachita and that you were served and represented well.

            May each of you be blessed in everything you do this year and may integrity and service define Student Senate.
