The idea of the Epsilon Delta Chapter of SAI was conceived in the Spring of 1967. The people responsible were Carole Brewer, an SAI member and transfer student from Hardin-Simmons University, and Mrs. Ralph Rauch, an SAI alumnae and wife of a faculty member. The efforts of the spring and fall of 1967 were culminated in the exciting weekend of November 10th when the Epsilon Delta Chapter was installed. Guests that weekend were Ruth Gould, National Second Vice President, and Ruth Ballard, Mu Province President.

Our charter members are: Glenda Plummer Aldridge, Linda Bitely, Evelyn Bowen, Carole Brewer, Kathlyn Ramsey Brown, Carol Cantrell, Karr La Miller Dickens, Pam Collins Evans, Becky Hardin, Beth Massey Maddox, Nita Nicholson, Marilyn Rauch, Frances Scott, Lela Seay, Camille Bishop Simmons, Susan Springston, and Chris Weber.
