After bid cards
are sent out and returned, prospective members who respond officially
become pledges. Ouachita Baptist University holds a formal pledge
week every year for Club's initiation events.
Eta Alpha Omega
maintains the idea that its pledge week should be useful to
build up the brotherhood between all members and be a time of
positive reinforcement of our ideals of Honoring God, Unity,
Service, and Brotherhood. To this end, we seek each year to
develop a unique pledge week activities that are grounded in
our values and traditions, rooted in Christian Brotherhood.
As we believe
that unity is a necessity, Eta Alpha Omega will not seek to
tear down any membership candidate during the pledge peroid.
We firmly believe that hazing is morally wrong and bearing in
mind its illegality, we affirm with confidence that we abide
strictly by university policy and state law regarding induction
procedures.
